Finances, money, coins, mula …whatever you want to call it, it’s kind of a big deal. If you’ve been reading my blog for a while then you know that I’ve been pretty upfront about my struggle with making good financial choices in the past, and my decision to begin my debt free journey. Before I finally did that, though, I did a TON of research. Maybe it’s the planner in me, but before I try something new, I like to do a little digging first, you know, to prepare. In doing so, I stumbled upon some great personal finance blogs by women of color. I wanted to share that list with you. So, keep reading to see my favorite female personal finance bloggers to follow.
Hey loves! I’ve gotten so many questions since I revealed the truth about my finances. I’m so glad that many of you have found inspiration in my story to embark on your own path to financial freedom! I’ll admit, my journey towards being debt free has been a major learning experience. I want to place emphasis on the word JOURNEY because it’s nothing short of that! One thing that I’ve embraced is changing my spending behaviors in order to save money.
I have a question for you. Do you feel like you have control over your money, or does it have control over you? Many people don’t even realize that they’re spending way more than they earn. I was also guilty of this, and used my credit cards to supplement my bad money habits. As you guys know from my last few posts, money definitely had its control over me up until recently. Thankfully I was able to make necessary adjustments and flip the script! I believe that my monthly budget has given me the ability to do so. It wasn’t easy, but I am confident that I’ve mastered my budget and I’m certain you can do the same.
Hey loves! Can you believe that I started my debt free journey a little over 6 months ago? I have to say… I’m super proud of myself for sticking to my budget and paying down my debt. It feels great to know that I’m that much closer to achieving financial freedom! Now I won’t sit here and pretend that the last six months or so have been a cake walk. In fact, I can admit that I hit a few bumps in the road. But I’ve come such a long way! I wanted to do something fun and share my June 2019 financial update with you guys…
Money… something that I’m sure every single one of us thinks about at least once on a daily basis. Whether you’re strategizing new ways to earn it, making new plans to spend it or save it; money is on all of our minds (some more than others of course). What if I told you that your perception about money has a direct effect on how you earn, spend, and save it? Further, if you want to improve your finances you have to start by reprogramming your money mindset.
