What to do When You Hate Diets

*Disclaimer: Although this post is brought to you by my sponsor – “Always Eat After 7 PM”, the opinions expressed in this post are my own.

What is it about dieting that makes it sound so horrible? Is it the idea of eating the same things day in and day out? Is it the constant restrictions that hang over your head? Or is it the fact that even if you achieve the results you desire, they’re short-lived and you have to start all over again? Let me just say – I HATE DIETS! I’ve experienced all the above. I have to say, the one thing that I hate the most about dieting, is the simple rule: no late-night eating.

The Reason Why I Hate Diets

Although I’ve been on an amazing fitness journey over the last few months, I’m still not at my goal weight. Yes, I’ve made some impactful changes. However, I realized that if I wanted to reach my goal weight, I’d have to eat nothing but salads for a few months. And that just does not seem appealing.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m all about being the healthiest version of myself and am committed to doing just that. But, I also feel that I want to enjoy my life and the food that I eat. But I’m not into starving myself just to meet a certain number on the scale. So, I’ve accepted the fact that I may never reach my goal weight. That was until I came across “Always Eat After 7 PM: The Revolutionary Rule-Breaking Diet That Lets You Enjoy Huge Dinners, Desserts, and Indulgent Snacks—While Burning Fat Overnight” by Joel Marion and my hope has officially been restored.

Why I Chose to Read Always Eat After 7 PM & to Follow This Diet

I won’t lie, all of those things that I said earlier about diets are still very true. I still hate diets very much. Yet, that’s exactly why I chose to read Always Eat After 7 PM and to follow the diet explained in this book! For one, author Joel Marion does a great job with providing a bunch of great statistics and research backing his findings, basically proving that a lot of the rules that come along with typical diets are bologna! Seriously, guys, I was blown away by this book! I think the exact moment that I was sold is when I read that carbohydrates are allowed!

Having carbs in the evening is also a great weight loss strategy. When you’re active, your body burns mainly carbohydrates and muscle glycogen for energy. By eating carbs at night, you allow your body to use them to restore glycogen for energy the next day and provide your body with the glucose it needs to regulate your blood sugar levels during sleep.

Joel Marion – Always Eat After 7 PM

I mean, I love carbs! Yet so many diets make you kiss them goodbye. This was the ah-ha moment for me! I figured, what’s the worst that could happen? I’ve tried everything else. What Exactly is the Always Eat After 7 PM Diet Program?
