If you know anything about Chris Brown, then you know he doesn’t have any trouble when it comes to attracting the ladies. Even with his controversial past, the famous R&B singer was able to put Karrueche Tran under his spell. And unless you’ve been living under a rock, you know that when the on-again off-again relationship finally ended, things got a little ugly (babies and restraining orders can’t be good). Fast-forward to today and Ms. Tran has easily become one of my favorite celebrities to watch. It’s not the fact that she’s as cute as ever, a model and now actress, it’s because I admire her ability to bounce back from a toxic relationship, boss up and really make a name for herself.
Falling in love can be tricky. Yes relationships have the potential to be amazing, fun, and truly satisfying. But what if it comes to an end? I’ve seen and experienced first hand how fast love can turn sour and there is nothing fun about it. Your emotions can feel as if they’re out of control, you are facing the inevitable unknown, and you may catch yourself questioning whether ending things was even a good idea. Going through a breakup can be a bitch – it can be exhausting, sad, and sometimes pretty scary. But one thing is for certain – life goes on. Please don’t allow a breakup to essentially break you, because they can really be a blessing in disguise! Believe me, when you take a moment to remove negative and toxic situations out of your life, you’re making room for much better things to come.
So, if you ever find yourself going through a breakup here are a few things you can do to bounce back…
Take time to reflect on what happened. This is your opportunity to learn the lessons, so that you can grow from the situation. Shit happens, and sometimes, we end up choosing the wrong partners. But that doesn’t mean you have to keep making those same bad choices over and over again.
Focus on yourself and what truly makes you happy. Remember, sometimes a setback is a setup for something else that’s way better! You owe it to yourself to go after whatever your heart desires.
Let’s face it: when people breakup, people talk. But you know what – let them! Look past the bullshit and overcome the adversity. As long as you’re secure with yourself and doing what’s best for you, who cares what anyone else has to say.
